EBS as a solution for in and out of the classroom
Today, through Mobile Beacon, our broadband service supports learning at every level, both in and out of the classroom. Many schools use this $10/month, unlimited mobile broadband service to meet their off-campus connectivity needs, especially as a solution to address the homework gap. In 2018, EdTech Digest named Mobile Beacon the Best Mobile Device Solution for education.
Unlimited data also makes our mobile broadband service a viable solution for meeting the broadband capacity demands in the classroom today. 42% of surveyed schools reported using Mobile Beacon's service to supplement their existing internet connection in school. On average, schools are using 373 GB/month with Mobile Beacon's $10/month service.

EBS as an educational programming resource

EBS as a platform for lifelong learning
Recognizing that learning doesn't only take place in a classroom, NACEPF deploys its EBS spectrum to support the education and nonprofit sectors broadly. Collectively, these organizations provide vital services to millions of people every day, helping them become self-sufficient, gain new skills, and fully participate in society.
Today, through Mobile Beacon, NACEPF’s broadband service is used by the nonprofit and education sector to provide people with workforce development training, mastery of financial basics, digital literacy courses, as well as information about social justice issues, health and nutrition, and how to register to vote. All of these services are educational and demonstrate the powerful, collective social impact the nonprofit sector delivers to the clients they serve across the country.
